Vijay, an artist from Sawai Madhopur, Rajasthan, has been deeply shaped by his passion and dedication to his craft.

After earning a four-year diploma in Applied Arts from the Rajasthan School of Arts, he began his career in Mumbai, where he worked as an assistant to an art director.

Deeply inspired by Rajasthani culture and its rich heritage, Vijay draws upon everyday life and simple themes in his work. His distinctive style involves depicting the main subject in a significantly larger scale, surrounded by miniature figures, symbolizing the central role that subject plays in his world.

For Vijay, the word ‘Maharaja’ conjures an image of a powerful, regal figure—wealthy, adorned with jewels, and wearing a majestic turban. After earning a four-year diploma in Applied Arts from the Rajasthan School of Arts, he began his career in Mumbai, where he worked as an assistant to an art director.
