This artwork is a tall sculptural piece resembling a tower-like structure crafted in terracotta-coloured material. The form is vertical and slightly irregular, as if it has been carved from a natural piece of clay or rock, yet it carries architectural features such as arched doorways, small windows, and a domed pavilion (chhatri) at the top, reminiscent of traditional Indian forts or watchtowers. The base begins wide with a large entry door and narrows as it ascends, giving a sense of upward movement and monumental scale despite being a tabletop sculpture. The domed canopy at the top evokes Mughal or Rajasthani architectural styles, blending heritage with abstraction. Its surface is simplified, without intricate ornamentation, which allows the raw materiality and symbolic essence of the structure to speak louder. Conceptually, this could represent, Memory of fortresses and heritage – a symbolic preservation of old architectural forms. Vertical growth of civilization – stacking history and tradition over time. A surreal interpretation – where the tower feels almost like a living form stretching upward, merging human craft with organic irregularity.
