Rani Rekha, born in 1974 in Bangalore, Karnataka, is a contemporary Indian artist celebrated for her spiritually inspired and emotionally evocative artworks.She completed her Master’s degree in Fine Arts (Painting) from the College of Fine Arts, Bangalore University. Deeply inspired by Goddess Durga, Rani Rekha’s paintings offer a personal and expressive interpretation of the divine feminine. Her work explores various moods and emotions associated with the goddess, blending traditional iconography with a contemporary visual language. Through her unique style, she captures both strength and serenity, creating compositions that are both devotional and modern. 
Over the years, her work has been showcased in numerous prominent venues, including the Karnataka Chitrakala Parishath in Bangalore, the Westminster Art Gallery (supported by Windsor Manor Sheraton & Towers, Bangalore), the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi (2003), the National Folklore Support Centre in Chennai (2003), and the Kerala Lalit Kala Akademi in Thrissur (2004).Her artistic achievements have been widely recognized through multiple accolades, such as the 15th All India Fine Arts Exhibition Award (Bangalore), the R.K. Kejriwal Memorial Merit Award (Bangalore), the Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Dhanasahaya Award (2003), the Mysore Dassera Award (2005), and the 9th Southern Region Art Exhibition Award by the Camel Art Foundation (2007). She also received the 34th Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Award in 2006, along with several merit scholarships during her career.

Rani Rekha continues to be an influential figure in contemporary Indian art, celebrated for her ability to evoke spirituality through a modern artistic lens.
